Where Souls Find Sanctuary

Dear Reader,

Happy Easter, if you celebrate!

To be honest, getting ready for a major holiday has been one of the last things on my mind lately. Preparing for our London trip while running life and business as usual made an Easter egg hunt and big dinner feel way down the list. Thankfully, my wonderful mother-in-law saved the day - and we had a great holiday because of it.

There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into a project like this—and I’m not even talking about what Frances and I are doing. We have an amazing team that has been preparing printed music, click tracks and communicating with the Abbey Road and London Symphony team as well. Thank goodness for all of them, without it, I know I'd be floundering! But through it all, here are a few interesting numbers and details...

To give you a sense of the scale, here’s what it looks like in real numbers:

Nearly 3000 pages of music have now been arranged, orchestrated, printed, collated, and taped (pictured below) — ready to fly across the pond with our producer, Phillip

• The London Symphony players already have their digital copies, but these printed pages will be waiting on their stands at Abbey Road on April 9...in 4 days!

• Frances: 63 pages of piano music

• Kirstin: 30 pages of oboe music

• Conductor score: 234 pages!

Did you also know...

  • Just preparing the music — getting 11 songs arranged, orchestrated, and ready for the players — came to $20,450.00?
  • That’s about $6.33 per page. The music was printed on high quality paper so it can be reused. Not that we're thinking that far ahead or anything, but when the time comes to perform this music live with an orchestra here in the U.S... We'll be ready!
  • Eventually, these scores will be available for purchase by other orchestras, which is also exciting to think about!

An Exciting Update

(as of 4/4/26)

So much of what matters most happens quietly, behind-the scenes - seen and unseen, steady, and often costly - long before anyone experiences the power and beauty of it.

And that’s what this feels like right now.

Not just a project…but thousands of pages, hundreds of hours, dozens of musicians.

All coming together, one detail at a time.

And behind it all…a community of people who said yes.

  • 246 individuals and businesses have now contributed
  • We have reached 97% of our goal
  • We need just $3400 to reach $130,000

If you’ve been thinking about contributing, this is the moment.

We can’t wait to share this experience with you on the other side.

Needless to say, we appreciate you!

With gratitude,

Kirstin & Frances

Where Souls Find Sanctuary Dear Reader, The great thing about my relationship with Frances is that she is always giving me a new perspective. She is probably one of the most observant and reflective people I know, and with myself being someone who tends to rush from one thing to the next to “get it all done,” she is a great Yin to my Yang (The Yin-Yangs — new group name? 😅). Case in point: her latest blog. As a lifelong musician, I honestly never reflected much on applause other than when I...

Where Souls Find Sanctuary Dear Reader, Frances and I are still trying to find the words. It's now been almost a month since our London Symphony and Abbey Road experience and it has certainly taken a bit to recover from not only jet-lag, but the emotional experience that London was. We are happy to share that it WAS everything we had hoped for - and more. Walking into Abbey Road, knowing that the London Symphony Orchestra was about to record the orchestral parts for our Christmas album…it...

Where Souls Find Sanctuary Dear Reader, March is MS Awareness Month! Have you wondered why we chose MS FitEffect as our charitable partner for our London Symphony Orchestra project? In our most recent blog post, I share my personal connection to Multiple Sclerosis and the story behind our partnership with MS FitEffect. What began as a dream to record with the London Symphony Orchestra has become something deeper - a project rooted in purpose, hope, and support for families impacted by MS. "It...
